Do you have a framing pricelist?

  • Due to the complex nature of framing it is not possible to include a price list, but we would be happy to give you an estimate by phone if you provide dimensions, or you can make an appointment with us to bring your artwork into the gallery for quoting purposes.
  • All quotes are valid for 28 days from the date of the quotation, however we reserve the right to amend the price if the specification of the frame required is subsequently altered.

How long does bespoke framing take?

  • We have a target time of 7 – 14 days, however if you have a deadline to meet, please specify this in writing at the time of placing your order, and we will proceed once the availability of materials has been confirmed.

Do I have to pay a deposit for bespoke framing?

  • If you do not have an account with us, a deposit (usually 50%) must be paid when the order is placed and the balance paid on collection (or prior to delivery).

Are deposits for bespoke framing refundable?

  • Deposits are non refundable once we have commenced work, including ordering materials.  A deposit may be refunded if the order is cancelled before we have started work, or if the materials are unavailable.  In this case, we will notify you as soon as possible and you may either choose an alternative or cancel the order.

How long will you hold my artwork for?

  • We will hold artwork for you pending a framing order for up to 3 months.  After this time we may at our discretion place the goods into storage, and charge you reasonable storage costs, however we will attempt to contact you before this happens.  Finished goods which have been paid for in full or part should also be collected within 3 months of completion or they may also be placed into storage. After 1 year we reserve the right to dispose of any artwork that remains uncollected if we have not been able to contact you.


How do I purchase online?

  • After you have clicked ‘Add to Basket’ on a product, click ‘View Cart’
  • Select either ‘Royal Mail delivery’ or ‘Local Pickup’ then click ‘Proceed to Checkout’
  • If you are purchasing framed artwork please select the ‘Local Pickup’ option. We will let you know if a local delivery is possible, otherwise the cardholder will need to collect.
  • Fill out your contact details on the checkout form and click ‘Proceed to PayPal’
  • You can either choose to pay with PayPal by clicking ‘Next’ or select ‘Pay with credit or debit card’
  • Fill out your card details and click ‘Pay Now’
  • You will receive an email notification that your order has been received.
  • Goods must either be collected by the cardholder or delivered by us to the billing address.
  • We will confirm the availability and price on receipt of your order.

Are there any alternative payment methods?

  • Select ‘Local Pickup’ as the payment method on the checkout form.
  • When we receive your order, we will contact you to confirm the availability and price and make arrangements for payment.
  • You can pay by cash, card or cheque in person at the gallery.
  • Cheques must be in sterling, and made payable to ‘Picture’.  We can only release your goods once the cheque has cleared.
  • We can take a credit card payment over the phone via Switch, Visa, Mastercard or American Express.
  • Goods must either be collected by the cardholder or delivered by us to the billing address.

What are your delivery charges?

  • Maps are sent tubed by Royal Mail first class signed for which costs £4.95, and cards are also sent by Royal Mail first class signed for at £3.45, regardless of quantity.
  • All items are insured while in transit, and the service is trackable.
  • Delivery charges include packaging of cards, or tubing.
  • Framed artwork may be delivered locally, the price will vary depending on location.

Do you deliver outside the UK?

  • If you live outside UK mainland please use the contact form on the on the website and we will advise you of the cost, and if delivery is possible.

What is your returns policy?

  • If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase of unframed maps or cards via the website, e.g. if it is damaged in transit or you have just changed your mind, you may return it to us unused and in its original condition within 28 days of receipt for a replacement, exchange or full refund.
  • Return delivery costs will not be refunded unless the goods you return were faulty or damaged, or you are returning an item because of an error on our part, in which case we will refund your costs in returning it.
  • We cannot be held responsible for packages lost in transit that you have sent to us.

How do I purchase artwork if I want it framed as well?

  • Use the ‘Local Pickup’ option on the checkout page as your preferred shipping method when you purchase the artwork, and then contact us to discuss your requirements, subsequent to which we will provide a quote for framing.
  • We recommend that you make an appointment to come in to the gallery to choose a frame, so you can physically view the frame samples next to the artwork. Alternatively we can post frame samples to your home to view.

Do prices include VAT?

  • VAT where applicable is included in all prices.  Overseas customers are responsible for any local taxes or duties required.
