Lisa Denyer is a British painter based at Summerhall Studios in Edinburgh. Her recent work explores abstracted imagery of the natural world. The use of sandpaper as a painting substrate introduces an interplay of textures, simultaneously facilitating and obstructing the application of paint.
Lisa has previously exhibited at Yantai Art Museum, China, The National Museum of Poland, Gdańsk, Volume, Berlin, Messums, Harrogate, and Rebecca Hossack Gallery, London. Her work is held in the Priseman-Seabrook Collection, and private collections in the UK, Spain, Italy, Germany, USA, and France.
