Kate trained at St Martin’s School of Art, and has worked in design and brand strategy alongside printmaking.
Kate’s work is inspired by the beauty of flowers and nature and the life and verve they bring. Initially working in watercolour to produce a sketch, she then creates hand-drawn separations for each colour to develop a silkscreen print, which she prints herself.
As an artist-designer, Kate works with husband, Jonathan Mercer, at their Shepherd’s Bush studio Starch Green.
