Concerned with the relationship between people and their cherished things/places, my work explores the process one goes through to create a sense of stability by returning to the same objects or locations over and over until they become an emblem of a feeling. I try to use paint to reduce and warp ‘real’ memories into something that bears a kind of distant nostalgia.
