Margarida Fernandes (b. 1991) is a Portuguese-British artist based between Cornwall and London.
Her work focuses on capturing intimate and fleeting moments in time. She attempts to look into the inner lives of others, and interpret the tension held there. Her ambiguous portrayals create fragmented stories, recalling our own inner dialogues.
Working across painting, sculpture and printmaking, she focuses on the tenderness and intimacy found in daily life. Her muses are her loved ones and the beauty in the everyday.
