Picture has recently undertaken the framing of 3 original Mary Fedden paintings. Two of them, The Egg Stand and The Black Pear were framed in 23.75 carat water gilded frames and the third Olio with Lemons in a Larson Juhl Marais profile. All 3 have handpainted gesso slips.

Mary Fedden, who sadly passed away in 2012, was born in 1915 and studied at the Slade where she met her future husband printmaker Julian Trevelyan who had a big influence on her work. They lived and worked at Durham Wharf by the Thames in Hammersmith. She was a prolific painter and was the first female tutor at the Royal College of Art to teach painting, one of her students being David Hockney.
Picture has a few limited edition signed giclees of her work which can be found on our Mary Fedden page. We also have a schoolprint by Julian Trevelyan entitled Harbour which is also for sale.
